ECHO - English Carp Heritage Organisation

History

The English Carp Heritage Organisation was formed in 2001. by Ian Chillcott and Keith Jenkins.

Objectives

ECHO is an angling-related pressure group dedicated to maintaining the health and welfare of the UK’s carp stocks.

Echo list a number of specific objectives on their website including:

- Educating people about the threats posed to existing fish stocks by regulated and unregulated fish movement.
- Preserving the UK’s angling heritage
- Lobby the government for stricter legislation on the legal importation of coarse fish.
